Job summary

Cascades in Ontario is seeking a Senior Structural Packaging Designer. Based at the St. Marys or Vaughan facility, you will lead corrugated packaging design projects from concept through production, collaborating with Sales, Production and external customers to meet requirements and timelines.

You will apply ArtiosCAD/AutoCAD skills, mentor junior designers, and ensure designs align with equipment capabilities and processes to drive cost-effective manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural packaging design, preferably within corrugated packaging.
• Structural Packaging and Design Management Certificate is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of corrugated materials, manufacturing processes, and converting capabilities.
• Proficiency in ArtiosCAD or AutoCAD and Microsoft 365.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Experience mentoring or leading other designers is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure designs align with equipment capabilities, materials, and finishing processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturing optimization.
