Summit Search Group is proud to partner with Village Optical on the recruitment of a Practice Manager. This is a key leadership role for a motivated, organized, and people-focused professional who will oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing optical practice while ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

About the Company

The Position

Reporting to the clinic partners, the Practice Manager provides overall leadership for day-to-day operations and serves as the key liaison between doctors and staff. This role has a strong focus on people leadership, operational structure, and cultural stewardship, with support from an external subject matter expert during key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead overall clinic operations and ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.
  • Manage and develop staff through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Act as the primary liaison between partners, doctors, and the broader team.
  • Support organizational improvements and clinic restructuring initiatives.
  • Maintain strong financial awareness, including payroll oversight and pricing sensitivity.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational or people-related issues.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing clinic culture.
Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or professional office environments; healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Strong people-management and coaching skills.
  • High level of organization, initiative, and judgment.
  • Financial literacy; payroll experience (Payworks) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • French language skills considered an asset.
  • No formal education requirement—experience and leadership capability are key.
  • The Practice Manager provides leadership across a large, multi-disciplinary clinic team, including doctors, team leads, assistant management, and patient-facing staff. This role oversees day-to-day operations for approximately 25 team members, supporting both clinical and retail functions while ensuring alignment, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
  • This is a full-time, in-office leadership role, operating Monday to Friday during standard clinic hours. Occasional flexibility is required to support events or operational needs.
