A local craft brewery in Surrey is looking for a Power Engineer to maintain and operate steam/process equipment. This position requires a Class 4 Boiler certification and involves working the night shift from 11pm to 7am. Responsibilities include conducting maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and operating production line equipment. Candidates should have 2+ years of production experience and strong communication skills. Central City Brewers and Distillers is a craft brewery in the business of developing and selling international award-winning premium craft beer and high-quality distilled spirits brewed without compromise. Based in Surrey, British Columbia, CCBD was voted Canada's Best Brewery of the Year in 2010 and 2012. Its Red Racer brand has become a cult icon among craft beer enthusiasts throughout North America. Founded in 2003 as a brewpub and liquor store in downtown Surrey, CCBD celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2013 with the grand opening of a brand new, 68,000 sq. ft. brewery and distillery on Bridgeview Drive. In 2019 we opened a 40,000 sq. ft. storage facility with approximately 2000 barrels of whiskey ageing in this facility. We are proud of being a local-Canadian Brewery that is currently expanding. In 2021 the company completed the installation of a new canning line designated for contract manufacturing.
The Power Engineer is primarily responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing, steam/process control, and components. You will need to apply your knowledge of mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring equipment to the intended operation. This position reports to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager. Please note this is a night shift only from 11pm to 7am.
