AV Group NB Inc. Atholville Mill is seeking a Power Engineer – Steam & Recovery Operator to operate and maintain a low-pressure steam plant, boilers, emergency power, and related equipment in compliance with codes.

You will monitor DCS controls, troubleshoot equipment, keep logs and testing, coordinate with other operators, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in repairs and installations, with on-call support on weekends.

Qualifikationen

• A valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate is required.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime and on-call.
• Experience is considered an asset.
• Good basic computer and communication skills.

• Maintain accurate and thorough log entries and perform necessary testing.
• Optimize and control materials to efficiently treat and dispose into recovery system.
• Work in collaboration with other operators.
• Lubricates, oils, and assists in preventative maintenance on all machinery.
• Maintains proper housekeeping in all related steam plant areas.
• Responds to trouble calls and carries out necessary corrective action during weekends and off shifts.
• Participate in plant equipment repairs & installations;
• Interface with necessary contractual & inspection departments for corrective requirements.

Power Engineer – Steam & Recovery Operator

AV Group NB Inc. Atholville Mill is currently recruiting for the following position:

As the Steam & Recovery Operator you will operate and maintain a power plant or any low pressure steam plant by operating, repairing and carrying out preventative maintenance on the boilers, emergency power, and other related equipment of the facility in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Monitor control of operation through DCS (distributed computer system)
• Effectively troubleshoot equipment
• Maintain accurate and thorough log entries and perform necessary testing.
