nesses. The Utilities Superintendent will be responsible to maintain the efficient operation of the recovery process to support our kraftmill operations. The Recovery process includes recovery boiler, evaporation and stripping systems, tall oil, and turpentine recovery. The ideal candidate for this existing vacancy will possess the drive and passion to continuously improve upon the health and safety, efficiency and cost targets for the site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations ensuring all employees are held accountable for our safety and environmental systems.
• Lead the Department team to successfully achieve its targets with respect to health and safety, operational priorities, production rates and manufacturing costs.
• Develop, coordinate and implement training programs given the demographics of the team to maintain and improve upon quality, efficiency and capital upgrades.
• Participate in monthly operation/budget reviews and will maintain an active and open dialogue with the union to promote continuous improvement within the department.
• Build a positive relationship between the Utilities Department and Maintenance Department.
