Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant for West Tecumseh Pharmacy in Windsor, Ontario to join our patient-focused team.

You will support pharmacists and technicians, greet customers, process prescriptions, and help with stock and safety while maintaining accuracy. Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred; strong communication, organization, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset (on-the-job training provided).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to thrive in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software (training provided).
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care

• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist or technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments; monitor inventory levels and rotate stock
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
