Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join Medical Centre Pharmacy in Brooklin, Ontario. You will support daily operations, assist pharmacists, and interact with patients.

Responsibilities include filling, prescription processing, inventory control, and customer service, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred; experience is an asset; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Fillware/Kroll is

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Medical Centre Pharmacy in Brooklin, Ontario.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

• Blister Packs & Compliance Packaging: Filling and sealing multi-dose blister packs accurately.
• Prescription Processing: Entering patient, insurance, and doctor data into pharmacy software.
• Dispensing Support: Counting pills, measuring liquids, and labeling under pharmacist supervision.
• Inventory Control: Checking stock, ordering supplies, and removing expired products.
• POS & Billing: Operating cash registers and processing third-party insurance claims
• Attention to Detail: Double-checking work to ensure zero medication errors
• Focus & Concentration: Maintaining accuracy during repetitive packaging tasks.
• Customer Service: Assisting patients warmly and professionally in person and by phone.
• Time Management: Multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork: Working seamlessly with pharmacists and technicians to meet deadlines.
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred
• Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software (Fillware, Kroll)
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
