Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy in Maple Ridge, BC is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to support Medlandia Compounding Pharmacy with daily patient-focused tasks, prescription processing, and front-end customer service. You will assist pharmacists, count, label, and package medications, manage inventory, and help with insurance claims.

This role offers flexible scheduling, on-site work at Medlandia, and opportunities for ongoing training within Canada's largest community pharmacy network.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred.
• Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset (on-the-job training will be provided).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.
