Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred.
• Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; team oriented.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software.

Responsibilities

• Blister packs & compliance packaging: filling multi-dose blister packs accurately.
• Prescription processing: entering patient, insurance, and doctor data into pharmacy software.
• Dispensing support: counting pills, measuring liquids, labeling under pharmacist supervision.
• Inventory control: checking stock, ordering supplies, removing expired products.
• POS & billing: operating cash registers and processing third-party insurance claims.
• Attention to detail: double-checking work to ensure zero medication errors.
• Focus & concentration: maintaining accuracy during repetitive packaging tasks.
• Customer service: assisting patients warmly and professionally in person and by phone.
• Time management: multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork: working with pharmacists and technicians to meet deadlines.
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Compensation

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities
