Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support prescription processing, OTC inquiries, workflow efficiency, and customer care in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in prescription entry, filling, labelling, and packaging
  • Provide excellent customer service and patient support at the counter and phone
  • Manage OTC product inquiries and guide patients to suitable options
  • Prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, including compounded products (training provided)
  • Assist with third-party insurance billing and claim resolutions
  • Maintain inventory, stock shelves, and receive orders
  • Ensure pharmacy cleanliness, organization, and adherence to standards
  • Support pharmacist in day-to-day pharmacy operations
Qualifications
  • Pharmacy assistant experience preferred, but motivated new graduates welcome
  • Experience with Fillware, compounding, and insurance adjudication is an asset (not required; training provided)
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English required
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic
  • Able to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
