A leading nonprofit organization in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Regular full-time Human Resources Representative – Payroll to provide HR support, maintain employee lifecycle information, and administer benefits. Candidates should have post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field and at least 3 years of HR and payroll experience. The role offers a hybrid work environment, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits, including 4 weeks of vacation and a defined benefit pension plan.
Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on‑site and off‑site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently employees are expected to have an in‑person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full‑time Human Resources Representative – Payroll to join our dynamic Talent Programs team. The team oversees recruitment, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives to ensure a capable workforce that supports our mission and vision while implementing HR policies and programs that adhere to regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, programs, benefits, pension, and pay provisions of multiple collective agreements and the terms and conditions of employment. You will maintain employee life‑cycle information within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and adherence to best practices. You will also partner with Talent Management and peers to implement new or changing programs and provisions supported by the HRIS.
