Job summary

Pfaff Automotive Partners in Newmarket, Ontario is looking for an Automotive Parts Advisor to help customers and service teams identify and source the correct parts. You’ll stock, pick, and deliver parts, verify shipments, and support the Parts Department operations.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years in a dealership parts role, strong knowledge of auto parts, excellent customer service, and a valid Ontario driver’s licence. This full‑time position offers competitive pay and benefits.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Automotive Parts Advisor or similar dealership parts role.
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and dealership Parts Department operations.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and a clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and internal dealership teams in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts.
  • Pick and deliver parts to technicians to support Service Department operations.
  • Receive shipments, verify quantities, and report discrepancies.
  • Provide customers with accurate pricing, product information, and availability.
  • Recommend related parts, accessories, and specials based on customer needs.
  • Maintain organized, well-stocked parts inventory.
  • Process returned or unused parts and return them to inventory.
  • Support inventory organization and general Parts Department upkeep.
  • Pick up and deliver parts to customers or suppliers as needed.
  • Assist the Parts Manager with additional departmental responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.

Job description

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assist customers and internal dealership teams in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts.
  • Pick and deliver parts to technicians efficiently to help keep Service Department operations moving.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Provide customers with accurate pricing, product information, and availability in person and over the phone.
  • Recommend related parts, accessories, and available specials based on customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and well-stocked parts inventory.
  • Process returned or unused parts from the workshop and ensure items are properly returned to inventory.
  • Assist with inventory organization, stock management, and general Parts Department upkeep.
  • Pick up and deliver parts to customers or suppliers using a company vehicle when required.
  • Support the Parts Manager and team with additional responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Automotive Parts Advisor or in a similar dealership parts role.
  • Previous experience working within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and dealership Parts Department operations.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and a clean driver’s abstract.
Total Rewards
