Job summary

Cedar Strong Prevention & Intervention Society is seeking dependable Awake Residential Night Workers for our new Hope facility. You will monitor residents overnight, respond to emergencies, complete documentation, and help maintain a safe living environment.

The role requires Grade 12, six months related experience, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, FoodSafe, and Naloxone training (or willingness to obtain). Benefits include a unionized full-time position in a supportive housing setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12.
• Six months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• WHMIS certification.
• FoodSafe certification.
• Naloxone training or willingness to complete required training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the safety and well-being of residents overnight.
• Respond to medical, behavioural, safety, and security concerns.
• Contact emergency medical services, law enforcement, or other supports when required.
• Observe resident behaviour, investigate disturbances, and respond to emergencies.
• Complete regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the facility.
• Check doors, windows and entrances for security concerns.
