Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an OR Care Tech to perform direct and indirect patient care under an RN, support in the operating room and recovery area, and handle supplies and sterilization duties. The role supports surgical patients at BayCare Health System, Surgery-SJH, located in St Josephs Main and Childrens.

Candidates should have a BLS certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of perioperative in-patient care experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical program completion or degree preferred.
• At least 1 year experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of an RN.
• Responsible for supplies and equipment; prepare patients for surgery/procedures.
• Assist in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room.
• Perform support duties including cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities

Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
