Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, Florida, is seeking an Operating Room RN for a part-time, 40-hour bi-weekly schedule at SJH. The role focuses on a cardiovascular OR team, delivering nursing care and mentoring others.

Requires 2+ years RN experience, 1 year in CVOR/OR, BLS and RN licensure; ACLS if required. In-person, shift 6:30 AM–5:00 PM with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Two years RN experience; 1 year RN experience in CVOR/OR required; CVOR experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS and RN licensure required; ACLS if department requires.
• In-person, part-time role with 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period.

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process.
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other health team members.
• RN accountable for professional development and acts as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of two years of RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 1 year RN experience in the Cardiovascular Operating Room or Operating Room is required. Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is strongly preferred for this role. This is a Part-Time position set for 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period.
