Job summary

BayCare Health System is recruiting for an Operating Room Pool RN at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL.

The role requires caring for a subspecialty patient group using standard nursing processes, while delegating care to the health team and upholding professional standards. The position demands a minimum of 2 years RN experience in the OR, with at least 18 months in the OR for consideration and CVOR experience strongly preferred.

Position Details

• Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677
• Status: Pool, As Needed
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary

The Operating Room Pool RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 18 months of Operating Room experience as an RN is required. CVOR experience is strongly preferred. This position is set at St. Joseph's Hospital and requires a minimum commitment of 48 hours per six-week schedule plus Call.

• Required includes 1 years acute care experience or 1 years Interventional/Procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or Interventional/Procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
