BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time Operating Room Registered Nurse. The RN will independently care for a sub-specialty patient group, delegate tasks, and maintain professional accountability per national standards. Preceptor and charge nurse duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 1 year of OR experience preferred. Certifications include BLS and RN licensure; ACLS may be required by department.

• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 1-year Operating Room experience as an RN is required.
