Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking an Operating Room RN to provide specialized patient care in the OR, following nursing processes and standards. The nurse will delegate tasks to team members and maintain accountability for continuous professional development per recognized guidelines.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience, with a preference for at least 1 year in Operating Room settings. This is a full-time in-person position at BayCare facilities with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Associate's Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Nursing preferred.

Summary

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1‑year Operating Room experience as an RN for consideration.
