Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for St. Joseph's Women's location. This part-time role supports perioperative care under RN supervision, ensuring sterile technique and efficient OR setup.

The position offers a 6:30am to 3:00pm shift with occasional weekend work, on-call duties, and a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision coverage and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
• Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.
• Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field.
• Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc.
• Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.

Requirements
