Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an OR Care Tech to support surgical teams at BayCare’s Surgery Womens-SJWH location in St Josephs Womens. You will perform direct and indirect patient care under an RN, help prepare patients for procedures, and assist in the operating room and recovery rooms.

The role includes maintaining supplies, instruments and sterilizers, with a standard shift from 8:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday; on-site work with equal opportunity employment for Veterans/Disabled.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical program completion or degree preferred.
• 1 year of procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under RN supervision, assist in the operating room and recovery.
• Prepare patients for surgery and maintain supplies, instruments and sterilizers.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.
