Job summary

Triple M Metal LP is seeking a Team Member to inspect, grade, sort and process ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals at our Toronto-area facility. You will help keep yards orderly and support efficient material movement with forklift or skid-steer.

The role requires about 1 year of production/warehouse experience; forklift experience is preferred. We offer benefits including health, vision, dental, life, LTD, pension, an annual boot allowance, company uniforms and overtime, plus a monthly gain

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working in a production, warehouse or landscaping environment.
• 1 year of experience operating forklift or skid-steer (bob-cat), preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, grades, sorts and processes ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.
• Maintains an orderly work location to achieve operational goals.
• Operates counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer following policies and procedures.
• Uses computer system to input material codes and weights.
• Completes yard tickets and provides tickets to customers.
• Processes materials by commodity and removes non-conforming material.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Subject to a criminal background check.

The Team Member will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals and maintains work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.

Wage

• $21.16 per hour

When

• Monday to Friday: 8am to 4:30pm
• Every Saturday: 8am - 12:00pm

Role Expectations

• Performs the inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals.
• Maintains work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.
• Operates counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer in accordance with operation policies and procedures ensuring efficient material movement
• Use computer system to input non-ferrous material codes and weight.
• Completes yard tickets and provides ticket to customer.
• Process materials by breaking them down by commodity and removing all non-conforming material.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• The successful applicant will be subject a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working in a production, warehouse or landscaping environment
• 1 year of experience operating fork lift or skid-steer (bob-cat), preferred but not required
