Job summary

Triple M Metal LP in Brampton, ON is seeking a Team Member – Chop Line to inspect, grade, sort and process non-ferrous scrap metals at our Brampton facility. You will also be responsible for the control and care of forklift and skid steer equipment used for shipping and production processes.

The role operates on the Continental Night Shift: 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., with a schedule of Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun in Week 1 and Wed/Thu in Week 2.

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse, distribution or machine operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspecting and processing of non‑ferrous scrap metals to meet production goals.
• Inspect material quality after processing and remove non-conforming materials.
• Monitor and adjust Chop Line Color Sorter PLC parameters for material flow, temperature, air flow and vibration control.
• Perform general mechanical adjustments, blade prep and changes in ATS and BDR.
• Visually inspect product quality and report findings to Shift Supervisor.
• Operate counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer following operation policies and procedures.
• General housekeeping functions.

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Team Member – Chop Line. The position will be situated at our 900 Intermodal Drive location in Brampton, ON. This position will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting and processing non‑ferrous scrap metals in order to achieve operational goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the control and care of the industrial forklift and skid steer equipment which is used for shipping, receiving and production purposes.

• 2nd Week: Wednesday & Thursday

What do we expect you to do?

• Performs the inspecting processing of non‑ferrous scrap metals and maintains work location in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.
• Inspect material quality as once processed through compline and remove non‑conforming materials.
• Monitor and make changes to Chop Line Color Sorter PLC parameters, not limited to material flow, temperature control, and air flow and vibration control.
• Perform general mechanical adjustments, blade prep and changes in ATS and BDR, blade checks, change screens.
• Visually inspect product quality out of the Hamos and report findings to Shift Supervisor.
• Operate counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer in accordance with operation policies and procedures ensuring efficient material movement.
• General housekeeping functions.
