Job summary

Triple M Metal LP is seeking a Team Member for the Chop Line at our Brampton, ON facility. You will inspect, grade, sort and process non-ferrous scrap metals, while operating forklift and skid steer equipment to move materials efficiently.

Responsibilities include monitoring PLC parameters, performing blade maintenance, and ensuring product quality. A 1-year background in warehousing or machine operation is expected. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect material quality after processing and remove non-conforming materials.
• Monitor and adjust Chop Line Color Sorter PLC parameters (material flow, temperature, air flow).
• Perform general mechanical adjustments and blade maintenance on ATS/BDR systems.
• Visually inspect product quality and report findings to Shift Supervisor.
• Operate counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer following safety policies.

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Team Member - Chop Line. The position will be situated at our 900 Intermodal Drive location in Brampton, ON. This position will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting and processing non-ferrous scrap metals in order to achieve operational goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, the control and care of the industrial forklift and skid steer equipment which is used for shipping, receiving and production purposes.

When:

Continental Day Shift 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M

• 1st Week: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• 2nd Week: Wednesday & Thursday

What do we expect you to do?

• Performs the inspecting processing of non-ferrous scrap metals and maintains work location in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.
• Inspect material quality as once processed through compline and remove non-conforming materials
• Monitor and make changes to Chop Line Color Sorter PLC parameters, not limited to, material flow, temperature control, and air flow and vibration control.
• Perform general mechanical adjustments, blade prep and changes in ATS and BDR, blade checks, change screens.
• Visually inspect product quality out of the Hamos and report finding to Shift Supervisor.
• Operates counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer in accordance with operation policies and procedures ensuring efficient material movement
• General housekeeping functions
