Job summary

Triple M Metal LP in Hamilton, ON is hiring a Team Member to inspect, grade, sort and process non-ferrous scrap metals, contributing to efficient operations at our Brampton St facility.

You will operate forklift and skid steer, clear jams, move materials, and assist with housekeeping; this continental shift offers 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with overtime potential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pick materials in accordance with established quality standards.
• Clear material jams using Skid Steer equipment and other manual tools.
• Move and organize material using forklift equipment.
• Troubleshoot sortation equipment as needed.
• Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Team Member. The position will be stationed at our 1640 Brampton St location in the city of Hamilton, ON. This position will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting and processing non-ferrous scrap metals to achieve operational goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, the control and care of the industrial forklift and skid steer equipment which is used for shipping, receiving and production purposes. There are 2 vacancies for this position.

Wage:

• $26.35 per hour.

Shift Details:

• Continental shift rotation, 7:00AM – 7:00PM & 7:00PM – 7:00AM, 7 regular shifts (84 hours) in a two-week period, with the opportunity for overtime!

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick materials in accordance with established quality standards.
• Clear material jams using Skid Steer equipment and other manual tools.
• Material movement and organization using forklift equipment.
• General troubleshooting of sortation equipment.
• General housekeeping activates as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a physically demanding role.
• Previous experience working at heights.
• Previous experience working on a continental shift.
• Previous experience operating forklift and skid steer equipment.
• Physical ability to wear respirator throughout shift.
