Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Vancouver is seeking an intermediate mining engineer. This role involves mine planning, data evaluation, and operational support, requiring strong computer skills and a mining engineering degree. Applicants should have over 5 years of experience and be willing to travel. The position offers competitive compensation in the range of $76,500 - $110,900 and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

  • Experience with mine planning and design software is an asset.
  • Work experience in mining or resource industries is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and satisfactory Driver's Abstract required.

Responsibilities

  • Data evaluation and interpretation including equipment productivity, costing, and resource definition.
  • Open pit optimization, mine planning, scheduling, and pit design.
  • Site operational support for short, mid and long-range planning.

Ability to work effectively in a team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mining engineering
Preferred minimum of 5 years’ industry or consulting experience
Eligible for registration as an EIT or P.Eng.
