Job summary

Marinus Services ULC is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR activities at our Halifax office. The role focuses on recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records, payroll and benefits support, and responding to routine inquiries.

With 1–2 years of HR experience, you’ll coordinate postings, screenings, interviews and new hire documentation, while maintaining confidentiality and accurate HR data in Microsoft 365 and HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years HR experience with recruitment support.
• Education in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience with resume screening, candidate communication, interview coordination and onboarding.
• Ability to manage varied tasks, changing priorities and deadlines with follow-through.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality in communications.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and HR systems.
• Willingness to work onsite at Halifax office.
• Payroll/benefits/HRIS/ATS experience is a plus.
• Experience in every HR function is not required.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment through postings, screening, scheduling, and communications.
• Coordinate new hire paperwork, orientation and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee files and HR system data.
• Prepare employment letters and routine HR reports.
• Respond to routine HR inquiries and escalate sensitive matters.
• Assist with payroll information and benefits enrollments or changes.
• Track probationary and performance review deadlines.
• Help organize training and employee engagement activities.
• Contribute ideas to improve HR processes.
