Job summary

Commissionaires Nova Scotia (CNS) is seeking a Human Resource Administration Assistant to join our People and Culture team. This role supports HR administration, onboarding/off-boarding, recruitment tracking in BambooHR, and employee records with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will coordinate onboarding, assist with candidate prescreens, and help maintain a positive candidate and employee experience across Nova Scotia, with typical 8:00–4:00 hours at head

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files (electronic and hard-copy).
• Administer and maintain BambooHR, ensuring accurate information, reporting, access, and data integrity.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and communications.
• Review applications, conduct candidate prescreens, and maintain recruitment records in BambooHR.
• Coordinate and participate in candidate interviews, complete reference checks, and document outcomes.
• Serve as HR point of contact for CSOC candidates, communicating training requirements and timelines.
• Coordinate CSOC enrollment and monitor training progress to ensure prerequisites are met.
• Prepare conditional letters of offer and support candidate progression with Training Team.
• Respond to inquiries from employees, candidates, and clients with timely support.
• Assist Senior HR Administrator and Outreach/Recruitment Manager with daily ops and special projects.
