Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking an IT Field Technician to deliver on-site support in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain IT systems and devices in the field, ensuring reliable and secure client technology infrastructure.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred.
1–3 years of hands-on IT support experience with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
Proficient with desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and other IT devices; strong Windows OS knowledge.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site IT support for hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment including computers, servers, networking devices, printers, and peripherals.
Identify, diagnose, and repair technical issues in hardware, software, and networking systems; perform upgrades as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance such as updates, diagnostics, and preventive care to extend equipment life.
Set up and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks; ensure reliable connectivity and security for clients.
Maintain detailed records of configurations, installations, and repairs; document troubleshooting steps.
Communicate with clients to understand needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
Provide basic training to clients on systems and best practices for maintenance and security.
Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and IT equipment for field visits.
