Job summary

WQS Group in Edmonton is seeking a Dispatch professional to coordinate technician scheduling and deployment for client projects. You will partner with Operations, Project Leaders, technicians, and clients to ensure the right people are on the right projects and in the right place.

The role involves managing technician schedules, onboarding requirements, and responding to changing project needs, including evenings and weekends as needed. Familiarity with NDT or industrial environments is an asset.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in dispatch, scheduling, coordination or a related role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with technicians, clients and internal teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily scheduling and dispatch of technicians based on qualifications and project requirements.
• Work with Operations and Project Leaders to assess availability and prioritize resources.
• Maintain technician schedules, availability, forecasting and utilization.
• Support mobilization/demobilization by sharing schedules and site details.
• Act as a central contact for dispatch inquiries from technicians, clients and teams.
• Respond to scheduling challenges and escalate issues when needed.
• Support onboarding and staffing activities and maintain qualified technician records.
• Monitor workloads to support wellbeing and compliance with employment standards.
• Maintain dispatch records and utilization metrics; provide after-hours support when required.
