Job summary

Fastfrate Group in Edmonton is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate a group of drivers from pickup to delivery, ensuring updates are shared with internal departments and customers. The role requires calm, ethical performance in challenging situations and experience in a unionized or similar environment is preferred.

You will monitor driver communications, support planning and customer service, and help maintain efficient dispatch operations in a busy office environment at our Edmonton location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years truckload dispatch experience is an asset.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of Customer Service experience.
• Working knowledge of the North American transportation industry.
• ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset.
• Experience with EDM (or similar dispatch systems) is considered an asset.

Role Summary: The Dispatcher is responsible for effectively coordinating a group of drivers to success through continual communication from the shipment pick-up to delivery and ensuring the appropriate internal departments are aware of any updates. Position represents the company in a positive image with employees, customers and the community always performing in a safe and ethical manner to achieve financial success. Enjoys working in challenging situations, remaining calm and level-headed in stressful situations. The candidate will have industry experience, preferably within a unionized environment.
