  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program, Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. ITAR.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a NSCC non‑trades program and looking for the required 5‑week work placement for Spring 2026 (April to May).
  • 0‑2 years of work experience.
  • Strong interest in shipbuilding and the marine industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite and openness to learning new technology.
  • Skilled in organizing and managing a variety of tasks with varying priorities and is a fast learner and effective problem solver.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Please note this position requires a full‑time, in‑office presence.
