Job summary

Falcon Equipment in Surrey, BC, is seeking skilled heavy-duty mechanics to join our service shop. Openings include apprentices 3rd level and up, with competitive night shifts and a $2 premium per hour for those hours.

You will install, maintain and test equipment, focusing on crane, snow/ice, and rail systems. A Red Seal or active apprenticeship along with related experience is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience with heavy equipment installations and/or maintenance.
• Red Seal Certification as Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic.
• OR in 3rd or 4th year of apprenticeship with related heavy equipment experience.
• OR a combination of related education and work experience.
• Solid mechanical skills with troubleshooting and reading schematics.
• Ability to maneuver around heavy equipment and work independently.
• Own tools.
• Hydraulic and electrical experience is an asset.
• Welding experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Installing and assembling equipment.
• Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on customers’ equipment, focusing on truck-mounted cranes, snow/ice, and rail equipment.
• Performing other duties as required.

We are hiring heavy duty mechanics (apprentices 3rd level and up) in our Surrey Service Shop!

Night Shift – Monday to Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am with a $2.00 premium per hour.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Installing and assembling equipment
• Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes, snow and ice, and rail equipment
• Performing other duties as required

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience with heavy equipment installations and/or maintenance
• Their Red Seal Certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic
• OR will be in their 3rd or 4th year of their apprenticeship with related heavy equipment experience
