Job summary

Falcon Equipment Regina is seeking a Jr. Parts/Shipper Receiver to support shipping/receiving in our warehouse. You will verify shipments, prepare bills of lading, and help route materials across the facility.

The role requires at least 1 year in a similar position, a Grade 12 diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift experience and operating a 1-ton truck are assets. This is a non-union role with competitive wages and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar shipping/receiving role.
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must drive and operate a 1 ton flat deck truck.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with handling/heavy equipment with safety.
• Prior chain and rigging experience is a definite asset.
• Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people tactfully and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by examining contents and comparing with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders.
• Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
• Determine shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates and review of carrier rates on a regular basis.
• Record shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
• Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
• Deliver or route materials to associated department(s) in timely fashion using applicable work orders in association with purchase orders.
• Drive the parts truck as required.
• Operate forklift in a safe manner to move product.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Prior chain and rigging experience is a definite asset
• Exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is an asset
