Job summary

Falcon Equipment Ltd. is seeking experienced heavy-duty mechanics for our Surrey Install shop.

If you are a heavy-duty mechanic, hydraulic mechanic, automotive mechanic, marine mechanic, crane mechanic, elevator mechanic, hydraulic technician or millwright with a few years of experience, we want you to join Falcon Equipment! Responsibilities include installing truck equipment and hydraulic systems, reading schematics, diagnosing issues, testing, and maintaining a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience with heavy equipment installations and/or maintenance.
• Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics.
• Ability to maneuver around heavy equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Own tools required.
• Hydraulic and electrical knowledge is a definite asset.
• Welding experience and a C Ticket are a definite asset.

Responsibilities

• Install truck equipment and body components on chassis and completed vehicles.
• Mechanical assembly and installation of aftermarket vehicle equipment.
• Install hydraulic systems, components, and hose routing.
• Perform basic to intermediate electrical installations and wiring.
• Read and interpret build diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Conduct final testing and quality inspections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Job description

We are hiring heavy duty mechanics (apprentices 3rd level and up) in our Surrey Install shop.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install truck equipment and body components on chassis and completed vehicles
• Mechanical assembly and installation of aftermarket vehicle equipment
• Install hydraulic systems, components, and hose routing
• Perform basic to intermediate electrical installations and wiring
• Read and interpret build diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions
