Falcon Equipment Rentals is hiring a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic for our Peace River, Alberta location. The role reports to the Branch Manager and entails maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental equipment with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference for Journeyman HD or Automotive mechanics with 3–5 years experience.
• Valid Alberta Class 3 or 5 driver's license with clean abstract.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work safely.
• Experience with complex mechanical and diesel systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental equipment.
• Document service and demonstrate equipment for customer use.
• Order parts from suppliers and vendors.
• Keep workspace clean and organized.
• Make on-site service calls for inspection, service, and repair.
• Work overtime as required and participate in on-call schedule.
• Promote Falcon Equipment Rentals through excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with team to maintain morale.

We are looking for a customer-oriented , motivated individual to join our professional team as a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic in a full time capacity at our Peace River location. This position will report to theBranch Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
• Responsible for service documentation and demonstration of equipment for customer use
• Accurately order parts from different suppliers and vendors
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
• Make on-site service calls to inspect, service, and repair rental equipment as needed
• Complete all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner according to company policies and procedures
• Participate in the branch on call schedule and be able to work overtime as required
• Promote company image through excellent customer service
• Bring a positive energy to the branch to help maintain and improve morale of the team day to day
• Other duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or management team

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Class 3 or 5 Alberta Driver’s License with clean abstract
• Possess at a minimum a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Preference will be given to Journeyman HD or Automotive mechanics with 3-5 years experience
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Physically fit and able to lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to follow verbal directions as well as written company and safety procedures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrates a professional demeanor and positive attitude
• Can work together with a team and provide each other support
• Safety requirements: First Aid, TDG, H2S would be an asset
