Municipal Worker 2 – Parks - Seasonal

Term of Employment: Full-Time, Seasonal (April 13, 2026 – October 23, 2026)

Rate of Pay: Band 3: $27.96 - $30.71 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)

Location: Parks & Green Spaces Team (Budmiller All Seasons Park, Parks General and Lloydminster Golf & Curling Club)

Duties: The Municipal Worker 2 performs a variety of parks and open-space maintenance, including all activities associated with turf, tree, flower and shrub bed maintenance, throughout the City of Lloydminster in a safe and efficient manner. Duties may also include the care of sports fields, playgrounds, and other city amenities. The Municipal Worker 2 will participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System. Other relevant duties may be assigned as required.

Schedule: Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the occasional requirement to work outside these hours, including weekend rotation. LGCC start time can vary from 5:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. depending on departmental needs.

Qualifications
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator’s License (registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan) with a clear driver’s abstract.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Previous experience operating riding lawnmowers, push lawnmowers, string trimmers, bobcats and tractors will be considered an asset.
  • The ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs).
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This position is contingent on receiving a satisfactory criminal record check.
