The Opportunity:
WSP is currently seeking recent college graduates to join our Municipal Roads team, located at our Thornhill office. Reporting to the Municipal Roads Manager, this position will be responsible for functional, preliminary and detailed design plus traffic management plans for municipal road projects throughout Ontario. The position will provide a broad base of design experience intended to serve as a foundation for your career.

A day in the life:
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and infrastructure.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, plans, profiles, sections, and details using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
- Compile and analyze data for design calculations, cost estimates, and material quantities.
- Draft technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
- Conduct site inspections and field surveys to verify construction compliance with plans and standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project scheduling and planning.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in preparing presentation materials.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- College degree in civil engineering technology or its equivalent.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation is an asset.
- Excellent MS Word and Excel abilities.
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Project is an asset.
- Ability to take initiative and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's license is an asset.
