Job summary

Equilibrium, a specialist technical consultancy serving the global mining and natural resources sectors, is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This hands-on role supports day-to-day financial administration across multiple entities, including payroll, AR, AP, and month-end close, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

You will collaborate with leaders, maintain reliable records, and provide management with insights. A Bachelor’s degree is required; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working toward CPA is an asset.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or progress toward it is an asset.
• Experience with multi-entity payroll and QuickBooks Payroll is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: Manage bi-weekly payroll for three entities using QuickBooks, including timesheets and deductions.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage monthly invoicing, monitor receivables, and prepare AR reports.
• Accounts Payable: Review and code vendor invoices, process payments, and maintain vendor records.
• General Accounting: Perform weekly bank reconciliations and month-end close support.
• Month‑End Close: Support close with reconciliations and schedules.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare routine and ad‑hoc financial reports for management.
