Job summary

Encore Drywall Material Supplies is seeking an Accountant to support the financial operations across the group. This hands-on role covers day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with exposure to multiple entities.

You will work on journal entries, month-end close, GST/HST filings, and payroll-related reconciliations, collaborating with external accountants as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business is required.
• 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and month-end close.
• Experience preparing reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
• Knowledge of GST/HST filings and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• CPA is an asset and pursuing it is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and month-end adjustments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, financial statements and schedules.
• Prepare GST/HST and other routine government filings.
• Support payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting records across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions.
• Assist with year-end, tax and other financial requirements with external accountants.
• Provide financial information and analysis to management as needed.
• Take on accounting and business-related projects as the organization evolves.
