Job summary

Westridge Iron in Vernon, BC is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close across multiple entities. This role requires strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, reporting to the Controller.

Compensation ranges from $78,000 to $82,000 CAD annually, with extended health benefits and paid vacation; experience

Qualifications

• Post-secondary coursework in accounting, business, or finance is an asset.
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping support role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Track and code project-related expenses by job.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly LEM reports.
• Assist with intercompany accounting and bank reconciliations (8+ companies).
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures (8+ companies).
• Assist with payroll admin (DPSP/RRSP and benefit enrollments).
• Maintain fixed asset schedules.
• Assist with variance analysis.
• Assist with audit prep and documentation requests.
