Job summary

FWS Group of Companies in Calgary, AB, is recruiting Millwrights to join our collaborative team. You will support the department and Superintendent, perform welding, ironwork, and mechanical tasks, and accurately lay out work from drawings using precision tools.

The ideal candidate has industrial mechanics experience or is enrolled in an apprenticeship, holds a valid driver's license, and can work a 21/7 rotation with time away from home. A tool set and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial mechanics or enrolled in an apprenticeship program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Drug & Alcohol testing may be required for certain job sites.

As a Millwright, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of millwright precision tools.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of experience in industrial mechanics or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
