Job summary

FWS Group of Companies in Canada is seeking an Ironworker to join our collaborative, team-focused organization. You will perform welding, ironwork, and related mechanical tasks according to drawings and specifications.

We offer RRSPs, benefits, and professional training. This role requires reading drawings, operating welding equipment, and maintaining safety with forklifts, scissor lifts, and power tools; a 21/7 shift is required with extended time away from home.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship enrollment or ironworking experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work a 21/7 rotation with extended time away from home.
  • Own and maintain basic trade tools.

Responsibilities

  • Welding, ironwork, or mechanical tasks according to drawings.
  • Accurate layout and building to drawings and specifications.
  • Safe operation of forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, and power tools.

As our Ironworker, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview
  • Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
  • Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
  • Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
  • Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.
Qualifications Needed
  • Appropriate level of experience in ironworking or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
  • Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
  • Own and maintain basic trade tools.
