Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking an Ironworker to support welding, ironwork, and mechanical tasks on construction sites. You will read drawings, lay out work, and use a variety of welding and cutting equipment to meet project specs.

As part of our team, you will safely operate tools including forklifts and lifts, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. A valid driver's license and an apprenticeship pathway are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in ironworking or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Able to work a 21/7 rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Drug & Alcohol testing may be required for certain sites.

Responsibilities

• Weld, ironwork, or perform mechanical tasks per drawings.
• Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and accurately.
• Safely use forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts and power tools.
• Read construction drawings and lay out work per specs.

As our Ironworker, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.
