Job summary

FWS GROUP in Canada is seeking Ironworkers to join a collaborative and team-focused organization. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for welding, ironwork, and using various welding and cutting equipment safely.

Qualifications include experience in ironworking or enrollment in an Apprenticeship Program, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a 21/7 rotation. FWS GROUP offers RRSPs, benefits, and professional training.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate level of experience in ironworking or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
  • Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
  • Own and maintain basic trade tools.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
  • Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
  • Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
  • Reads and understands construction drawings, providing accurate layout of the work.

As our Ironworker, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview
  • Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
  • Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
  • Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
  • Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
  • Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
