Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking an Ironworker to join our collaborative team on site. You will perform welding, ironwork, or mechanical tasks and read construction drawings to ensure accurate layouts. Safe use of equipment such as forklifts and power tools is essential.

Applicants should have ironworking experience or be enrolled in an Apprenticeship, hold a valid driver's license, maintain basic trade tools, and be prepared for a 21/7 rotation with time away from home.

Qualifications

• Experience in ironworking or current enrollment in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Flexible work rotation: 21/7 with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Welding, ironwork or mechanical tasks as assigned.
• Operate welding and cutting equipment safely.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment including forklift, skid steer, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Read and interpret construction drawings for layout and building to drawings/specifications.

As our Ironworker, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
• Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of experience in ironworking or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
