Job summary

Hilton FoodsCanada is seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and industrial equipment in a highly automated production facility.

This role ensures production reliability, equipment safety, and compliant operations on food processing and packaging lines, on-site in Ontario. Candidates should have a 4-year Millwright apprenticeship, a valid 433A license, and 3–5 years of related experience with conveyors, pumps and sanitary equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 4-year Industrial Mechanic Millwright apprenticeship.
• Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license (433A).
• 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing millwright experience preferred.
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, packaging machinery and sanitary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and parts requirements.
• Install, align, dismantle, and repair machinery such as pumps, conveyors, mixers, grinders, slicers.
• Inspect and examine machinery to detect and investigate malfunctions to improve production yield.
• Use specialized tools such as welders, hydraulic bolters, and cutting equipment as per job requirement.
• Provide support in troubleshooting mechanical control systems in conjunction with electrician, automation technician etc.
• Perform predictive maintenance using techniques such as vibration analysis and precision measurements.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, food‑safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Complete preventative maintenance and corrective work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately in CMMS.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks safely as per the job requirement.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and maintain safe work practices.

KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE ANDSKILLS

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a 4-year Industrial Mechanic Millwright apprenticeship.
• Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license (433A)
• 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing millwright experience preferred, food manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, packaging machinery, and sanitary equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
