Job summary

Marwood International Inc. in Woodstock, ON is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our automotive manufacturing team. You will install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and optimize machinery, read blueprints, and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 Diploma or GED.
• Must hold a recognized Millwright License (C of Q).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, align, maintain, repair and troubleshoot machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose irregularities, adjust and replace parts as needed.
• Clean, lubricate and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Set up and operate welding equipment (arc, MIG, TIG, plasma, gas).
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to determine procedures.
• Operate hand/power tools and larger machine tools; position large parts with cranes/jacks.

Hourly Rate: $46.00 + Shift Premiums

Shift: Rotating Mon-Thurs (6a-4p & 4p-2a)

Responsibilities:

• Industrial mechanics (millwrights) are responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, inspecting, dismantling and moving machinery and equipment
• Troubleshooting may include diagnosing irregularities and malfunctions, making adjustments, and repairing or replacing parts
• Cleaning, adjusting and lubricating machinery are also important maintenance tasks of the trade
• Set up and operate welding equipment including arc, MIG, TIG, plasma and gas
• Welding, cutting and machining as Industrial mechanics (millwrights) may prepare bases f or equipment
• Blueprints, diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals assist industrial mechanics (millwrights) in determining work procedures
• Operate hand and power tools in installation and repair Larger machine tools such as lathes, drill presses and grinders may be used in fabrication of machine parts
• Hoisting and lifting equipment such as cranes, jacks and forklifts is commonly used to position large machines or machine parts
• Complete preventative maintenance as required on machinery/equipment
• Tooling fabrication for fixtures or welding cells to replace broken or worn tooling
• Service and program robotic welders either by writing a program or re-teaching a set program
• Report on work performed and time spent to Maintenance Group Leader or designate
• Complete maintenance work requests, CIF's as required
• All other relevant duties

Key Requirements:

• Grade 12 Diploma or GED
• Recognized Millwright License (C of Q)
