Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Mess Supervisor (Hospitality Supervisor) to deliver outstanding customer experiences in military messes. You will oversee hospitality operations, supervise staff, and coordinate events from setup to takedown, ensuring health and safety standards are met in a fast‑paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, client focus, and leadership within a military community setting, with on‑site work and a strong commitment to service

Qualifications

• College diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management, or related field AND some years of experience in hospitality and food and beverage service.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol Ontario
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification Ontario
• Ontario Valid Driver’s Licence, an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on assistance in planning, organizing, supervising mess activities, bar service and mess operations.
• Supervise and train employees, prepare work schedules and ensure their accuracy for payroll.
• Ensure strict requirements for health, hygiene and safety.
• Interact directly with clientele, taking orders and assisting with set up and take down of functions.

THE ROLE

As a Mess Supervisor (Hospitality Supervisor), you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community while utilizing your operational and hospitality experience. Military messes are places where Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members come together to socialize and foster morale.

The Mess Supervisor (Hospitality Supervisor) provides hands‑on assistance in planning, organizing, supervising mess activities, bar service and mess operations. You will supervise and train employees, prepare work schedules and ensure their accuracy for payroll. You will ensure strict requirements for health, hygiene and safety. You will interact directly with clientele, taking orders and assisting with set up and take down of functions.

Qualifications Needed

• College diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management, or related field AND some years of experience in hospitality and food and beverage service


• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol Ontario


• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification Ontario


• Ontario Valid Driver’s Licence, an asset
