Job summary

Fountain Tire Regina is seeking a skilled Mechanic and second-year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and complete scheduled maintenance on customer vehicles. You will be part of a team that emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and clear communication with customers.

The role includes operating department equipment, helping customers understand service needs, and contributing to a positive, growth-oriented work environment with overtime

Qualifications

• Must be at least a 2nd year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers.
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology.
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
