Job summary

Fountain Tire Regina is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs with accuracy, complete scheduled maintenance, and advise customers on future repair needs.

The ideal candidate is a 2nd year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician with strong automotive knowledge, diagnostic skills, and excellent communication. A valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a 2nd year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to be considered.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers.
• Diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of malfunctions on a customer’s vehicle.
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles.
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements.
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries.
